NYTE depends upon the generosity of our individual donors to grow our readership, increase our features, and continue to upgrade our websites to make them user-friendly, informative, and helpful to both the theatre community and audience members.
We published Plays and Playwrights 2009 and had five successful launch/book signing events. We updated our websites for those who are or will be using Internet Explorer 8. We provided previews and reviews for the FRIGID Festival, Planet Connections Festivity, Antidepressant Festival, and the Jewish Theatre Festival plus reviews of the Under the Radar Festival. We produced weekly podcasts and two pilot episodes of our planned Indie Theater Now cable tv show, conducted panels and talk backs, and added daily features to the Good News Theatre blog (www.nytheatre-i.com). And the 2008 New York Innovative Theatre Stewardship Award was given to NYTE.
Upgrades to provide more comprehensive listing and venue information, tagging and other features to allow readers to quickly find shows of interest (classics, musicals, solo, comedy, etc.), greater functionality for mobile phones and PDA’s, exploration of e-books to enhance our publishing program, and more.
To make this possible, please help by contributing what you can. Support NYTE using your credit card at our secure website, http://shop.nyte.org or if you'd rather make your donation by check, please make it payable to The New York Theatre Experience, Inc., and send it to:
